He is super knowledgeable, always knows what part I need for my boat or trailer and if he doesn't, he always calls me back with an answer& good price. His service is exceptional and I hope you realize what an asset he is to your service department. I have heard lots of good things from other people in the water ski community about Rambo Marine and unfortunately I wish we had that kind of dealership in Chattanooga. I felt it necessary to thank you guys and particularly Cecil for taking care of us. Just as a brief history, before I became aware of Rambo Marine, I purchased a boat from another dealer in Kentucky. Unfortunately, that transaction was not as smooth as I had hoped as well as it being too far away from our location to get service done. I have had a couple things done since then at Rambo and Cecil has been extremely willing to help out even though I did not purchase my boat from you guys. My most recent warranty work has been nothing but positive and he has gone beyond his duty to get this taken care of for me. It's not very often customers are treated like this and I am extremely greatful for his ability and willingness to help. My only regret is that I did not buy the boat from you guys but I will the next time I am in the market(when my wife will let me). Could you pass my appreciation on to Cecil and everyone else at Rambo? You guys are exactly what a dealer should be and I am recommending you to everyone I know on the lake.

Donnie's knowledge during the test drive and his friendly personality made the experience fun and removed the uneasy feeling of a new and bigger boat. Donnie followed up with a phone call later that day as well as two days later to make sure we were satisfied with the new boat. I've been wanting to drop a note for a while. I purchased my dream boat a couple of years ago--a 2000 Prostar 205. I was only able to afford the boat because the previous owner severely neglected it and the boat needed a lot of work. I called around to a couple of dealers up here in southern Vermont and tried to purchase parts but could not get any knowledgeable assistance. They just couldn't be bothered. I then contacted what is supposed to be one of the largest dealers on the East Coast in Charlotte NC. Two times I called the "parts man" was on lunch break and he did not return my calls. I then called Mastercraft directly and explained my situation. They gave me one name--Lex Pearson at Rambo Marine. In 40 years of messing around in boats and working in the marine industry I have never met a more helpful, diligent and knowledgeable fellow. I enjoyed all our conversations and wish that you guys were closer. Lex seems to be an honest great guy who will always go out of his way to help a customer. I am sure he is a reflection of the way that the rest of Rambo Marine is run. His name is all over every Mastercraft forum as the go-to guy for Mastercraft parts. Please make sure he knows how much I appreciate his help.

Fuel Pump Savior
This entry is a year and a half too late, but better late than never. It was Summer, 2006 -- my son bought a 1999 X-Star through Ebay in May of '06 -- He lives in Philadelphia and keeps his boat slipped right under the Ben Franklin Bridge. I live in central Pa. We had rented a house at Deep Creek Lake, Md. for a week to ski with our entire family (3 boats, 8 adults, 10 kids). Two days before we were to leave, the X-Star dies in the Delaware River -- diagnosis -- fuel pump failure. We made three increasingly frantic calls to the MC dealer in nearby New Jersey that never get returned. We called the dealer in Maryland, which was within driving distance, who said: "We don't have that in stock -- we can order it for you and have it in about 10 days." Somewhere in the back of my mind I recall someone saying "If you need MC parts -- call Rambo Marine" so I did. "Hello, this is Lex, Lex in parts." Music to any boater's ears. I explained my problem and the time pressure we were facing -- it was Wednesday and we were to leave on Friday. "Well," said Lex," that pump does seem to fail a lot at about 500 hours -- matter of fact, I just sold the last one we had in stock yesterday. Tell you what, I will have MC direct ship one to you, overnight delivery -- you should have it tomorrow -- I know their parts dept guy real well, I will call him right now and make sure he gets it out to you today." And so he did!! I called Lex at about noon on Wednesday and the right fuel pump was sitting in my office in Harrisburg Pa. on Thursday at 10:00 AM! That is amazing. That is service. That will prompt me to drive 1200 miles to Alabama to buy my next MC if the '86 I own ever wears out. We installed the fuel pump that night and we went to the lake for the week; a good time was had by all! I am a 60 year old guy who has been buying things and fixing things for a lot of years -- this was the best service I have ever received --- hands down -- and the amazing thing is -- I had the clear sense that this was nothing special for Lex -- he was just doing what he always does -- fixing problems -- fast and friendly (and right). Thanks again, Lex. tom

THESE GUYS REALLY KNOW HOW TO DELIVER GREAT SERVICE EVEN TO GUY WHO HASN'T DIRECTLY PURCHASED BOAT FROM THEM. I BOUGHT A 97 MC 205 FROM AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PURCHASED THE BOAT NEW FROM RAMBO. I'VE ORDERED SEAT COVERS TO MATCH THE ORIGINAL MATERIAL. ALL WAS DELIVERED TO MY DOOR EXACTLY AS ORDERED AND ON TIME. LAST WEEKEND MY IMPELLER WENT BAD CAUSING THE ENGINE TO OVERHEAT. I CALLED DONNY AT 4PM ON SATURDAY. I WAS ALMOST 2 HOURS AWAY ON SMITH LAKE WITH BIG PLANS FOR A SUNDAY ON THE LAKE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. DONNY VOLUNTEERED TO MEET ME IN ATHENS, AL (AS HE WAS HEADED THERE FOR A SKI TOURNAMENT.) #1 Customer!
Since my first experience buying a Mastercraft in 1994, I have been Rambo's #1 customer! At least that is the way they have always made me feel! My second Mastercraft purchase was last year, but during the long interval between purchases, I kept my title as "#1 customer" everytime I visited with the Rambo team. I am continually impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of this dealership. So to Scooter, Lex, Lex, Wesley, Harold, Jamie, and all the rest of the guys, my thanks and appreciation for all your effort. You richly deserve the Top 100 award-- congratulations!

I bought a 2005 X-9 last summer.
It has been just as terrific as my previous Mastercrafts. More importantly, this is about the dealer and service of my Mastercrat. Rambo Marine wrote the book on outstanding customer service. My boat broke down last Sat and would not start. I called Lex Rambo on his cell and he and the mechanic tried to trouble shoot on the phone. We all agreed that I should take the boat in on Sunday at 1230. Billy, the mechanic left his dove hunt on Sunday morning to come and replace my fuel pump and I was back in business by one clock. My point is that this was a three day Labor Day week end and a Sunday at that. Lex or Billie didn't need to take the time to make me feel like the most important customer in the world. But, they did! You just don't find this kind of outstanding service anymore. All of the people at Rambo Marine deserve Mastercraft's highest respect. They are the reason that I will never own any boat but a Mastercraft - not to mention that it is also the best boat on the planet!

Harold and Scooter, Allison and I took the boat out yesterday and were very pleased. You guys made the whole boat buying experience enjoyable and were very easy to work with. I now know first hand why I see so many Rambo Marine boats around the southeast. Everyone I talked with at the dealership was nice. If I run into people looking for boats, I will definitely send them your way.

Gentlemen I wanted to drop you a note of thanks for our experience purchasing our boat from you in May. I would have done this sooner but we have been enjoying our boat so much it has been difficult to sit still long enough to write a letter.
From the initial meeting and test drive with Lex and Bennett, to the office visit with Wesley there was always an air of professionalism and respect which is very rare in today's marketplace. I never felt any information was hidden or sugar-coated for my benefit. I also never felt any undue pressure to do the deal and all my questions and concerns were addressed. The thing that was amazing to Andrea and I was how all the employees took time to speak to us and congratulate us on our purchase after quitting time on a Friday afternoon! The detail/fiberglass man was offering tips on the trailer brakes and how to buff out the shine well after 5:00pm. This is unheard of and I wanted to bring attention to the caliber of people we had the pleasure of dealing with.
In closing, we have worn our Rambo T-Shirts to the lake every weekend and have told half the boating population of Nashville where they should look for their next boat. I only hope you branch into this market and show the people and the competition how the boat buying process can and should be. I look forward to buying our next boat from you. Jason
